We would like to thank you for this opportunity to bid on your house or property. We feel that making a decision to have your property painted by a particular company requires some information such as the experience of that company, their preparatory and painting procedures. We will try to address any questions we feel you might have and refer you to our web site at jhpaint.com for further information. Our complete exterior bid would include all painted siding and trim. The trim includes the shutters, doors, garage door/s, trim around windows, porch rails and spindles, columns/porch posts, the boxing, and fascia as well as the gutters and down spouts. Our bid expires in thirty days unless otherwise indicated on the bid proposal. We also provide references on request.

JH Paint has been in business over twenty five years and is one of the older, more established companies in this area. We do commercial and residential painting and minor drywall and carpentry repairs. We are an owner operated/supervised business and also, assist our customers in color selections as well as paint recommendations.

Our exterior preparatory process begins with power washing the property (using a sodium hypochlorite solution), caulking any cracks and joints needing this treatment puttying recessed nail holes to bring them flush with the surface of the building as this prevents water permeation in the siding material. Then, we scrape, sand, and prime the areas of the house which may be peeling. Next is the painting process. We currently recommend Sherwin Williams 25 year Super Paint. It is one of their top of the line paints and one we have found to be a durable lasting product which seems to retard mold and mildew better than most products available today. Our painting bid includes the cost of the paint and is based on the Super Paint price that we pay. There is, however, a newer lifetime paint called Duration. It is Sherwin Williams’ best paint and has a warranty against cracking and peeling forever. However, it will fade with time as all paints do. Duration is considerably more expensive than Super Paint. Our painting bid, unless otherwise requested, is a spray the siding and brush the trim bid. There are at least two advantages to spraying the siding and they are the cost factor --spraying is a less expensive application process and one gets approximately one and a half times the amount of paint on the sprayed area (almost two coats). We also brush the siding and trim if that is the customer’s preference. Our quote includes all materials and labor necessary to complete the job. If a customer desires another brand other than Sherwin Williams, the bid will only be affected if the product is more expensive.

Payment with cash or check is due at the end of the project. We also accept Mastercard and Visa with credit card approval required prior to starting the project. Our labor warranty is two years (deck floors not included) as experience tells us that if a problem from our painting is going to surface, it will usually be evident within two years. We are fully insured and Certificates of Liability and Workman’s Compensation will be furnished on request. If there are any questions you may have, please do not hesitate to call.
